Refund and returns policy

At In My Own Little World Ltd, we want you to be happy with your purchase. This policy explains when and how you can return or exchange items, in line with UK consumer law.
1. Your Statutory Rights
This policy is in addition to your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

If your item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, you have the right to a full refund within 30 days of receiving it.

After 30 days, you may still be entitled to a repair, replacement, or partial refund, up to 6 years from delivery (2 years in Scotland), depending on the circumstances.

For orders placed online, by phone, or by email, you have 14 days from the day after you receive your goods to change your mind (cooling-off period). You then have a further 14 days to return the items.
2. Cooling-Off Period (Change of Mind Returns)
If you’ve purchased online, by phone, or via email:

You can cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, for any reason.

Items must be unused, in the same condition you received them, and in original packaging.

You are responsible for the return postage costs unless the item is faulty.

We will refund the original item price plus our standard delivery cost (if paid), within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or proof of posting — whichever is sooner.

If you selected a more expensive delivery option (e.g. express), we will only refund the cost of standard delivery.
4. Our Goodwill 30-Day Store Returns Policy
We offer a voluntary 30-day returns period from purchase (or delivery date for online orders) for exchanges or refunds.

Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Proof of purchase is required.

Partial refunds may be granted if an item is not in original condition, is damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

Sale items are refundable only if faulty; otherwise they are non-returnable.
5. Faulty or Damaged Items

If an item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, we will refund the full purchase price and any delivery costs, and cover the cost of return postage.

Please contact us as soon as possible with your order number, description of the fault, and photos if applicable.

7. Refund Processing

Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or proof of posting.

We’ll email you to confirm once the refund is processed.
8. Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven’t received your refund:

Check your bank account again.

Contact your credit card company — it may take time for your refund to show.

Contact your bank — there is often processing time before funds appear.

9. Return Postage

For change of mind returns, you are responsible for return shipping costs.

For faulty/damaged goods, we will cover the return shipping costs.

If you are returning an item worth over £40, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee we will receive your returned item without tracking.
